MASON TIRE; IT'S A FAMILY AFFAIR!

Joe Mason, Sr., Founder of Mason Tire & Auto decided to open a tire and service business in Surfside Beach 25 years ago. Since that decision he has opened a total of five locations, Surfside Beach, North Myrtle Beach, Myrtle Beach, Pawleys Island and his latest in Conway

Mason was not a Johnny-come-lately to the tire and automotive business. After serving two years in the 2nd Armored Division of the Army in 1950-1952, his first civilian job was with the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. He spent the next 23 years working out of Miami, Florida and got to know this business inside and out.

Mason became acquainted with Surfside Beach in the early 1980s when he took a business trip to the area. He loved what he saw and felt this is where he wanted to open a tire and automotive service store for himself and his family, and one day retire.

Mason Tire has flourished along the Grand Strand due to his family's number one priority, customer satisfaction. He always has instilled in his family good morals, values and honesty, and when service is good word gets around, which it has for twenty five years.

The three generations following his footsteps want to make sure customer satisfaction is and still will be our number one priority for another twenty five years on the Grand Strand.
